Why Become a Member?
If you own, or plan to operate a mobile food business in Washington, please support your own economic interests, and that of your fellow mobile food vendors, by becoming a member of the WSFTA today. We have been making great strides over the past 4-years by changing and updating the policies that directly impact your daily business operations. However, without your participation this much needed state association would not be as strong and successful. We are a member services organization working hard on your behalf to grow, promote, defend and advocate on behalf of this industry. As our membership grows, so does our strength and our influence. We are more than just an industry, we are a community. By joining the WSFTA you will become a part of the only organization in the state dedicated solely to working on behalf of our mobile food industry.
We are lucky to have our own full time policy advisor/lobbyist working on our behalf in Olympia, tracking all proposed legislation that could effect us, and pursuing our own legislative agenda. Our strong grassroots efforts helped to successfully pass a commissary kitchen exemption bill in 2018, allowing vendors who meet certain requirements, to use their own mobile kitchen on wheels. Special Events for Members
The WSFTA members have been able to participate in events that we have hosted like the 2017 & 2019 Food Truck Lobby Day at the state capitol, 2018 Truckaroo in Tacoma, Seahawks training camp, and we will be providing food trucks for the PGA Golf Tour this year. We also host an annual member’s only food truck conference which gives you a great opportunity to meet with your fellow vendors, association sponsors, our lobbyist, and gives you the ability to help direct and determine our priorities moving forward.
The WSFTA provides food truck booking services for Tacoma/Metro Parks, King County Parks, the Port of Everett, and other venues.
Our members are in the only state-wide comprehensive listing of mobile food vendors. Hungry customers and event planners use our city-by-city listing to find the BEST food trucks in the state.
Catering and Event Referrals
Event planners, corporations, and city planning departments are put in touch with members in their area. As long as the event fees and logistics are reasonable, we list these opportunities on our Events & Festivals page. Members will receive notice of new vending locations and special events before they are listed publicly on the website for others to see.
Members can ask fellow vendors questions about getting started, voice their opinions on current issues, offer trade tips & suggestions, and provide topics for discussion in an interactive (closed) Facebook discussion group. This is also where the WSFTA distributes member news, catering and event referrals, and other important information.

The information provided to members in our resources section has taken years to collect and compile. This provides our members a one-stop destination for all the relevant information you will need for vending in Washington state.
Membership is offered to current mobile food vendors AND to those in the start-up process. Member dues are $240 per calendar year. There are two options for paying your dues. Option 1: pay $240 for the current year. Option 2: pay $240 for the following full year, plus a prorated amount of $20/month for the remaining months of this year.
